spoke on the subject of his book –  

“Bringing Nature Home”

August 18, 2010 at the OKlahoma City Zoo

and August 19, 2010 at the Tulsa Garden Center

Both of these events were well attended.  About 200 in OKC and 300 in Tulsa.If you missed his presentations you will still want to read his book.  His message is extremely important and is a must for all gardeners and nature lovers.

Dr. Doug Tallamy is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology and Director of the Center for Managed Ecosystems at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. 

"Bringing Nature Home; How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens" was published in 2007 and was awarded the 2008 Silver Medal by the Garden Writer's Association.  In 2009, the book was updated and expanded.
