Oklahoma Penstemon

Penstemon oklahomensis

*Native only to Oklahoma

*Perennial

*12 – 18”

*Full sun

*Well-drained to Dry

*Blooms May and June

*Has a closed throat that limits nectar access to bumblebees & honeybees.  Pollinators nectar through slits at the base of the corolla.

*Saw this in a prairie in flower with Barbara buttons and it was beautiful.  Not a long bloom time but nice to naturalize.
